Barrett Funeral Directors provides a comprehensive range of professional, respectful funeral services from our carefully furbished funeral home based in Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow. We are a family run business, with a reputation built on our years of providing carefully tailored services to meet the needs of the local community. We arrange funerals for all faiths and denominations, with services tailored to your individual needs. If required, we can also arrange for the repatriation of your loved one.
At Barrett Funeral Directors we work closely with every person we see, providing our utmost support and assistance throughout the difficult grieving process. We have a range of services from which you can choose, and we can be as involved or uninvolved throughout the funeral process as you would like.

Burials
We take care of all the details and finishing touches to your loved one's burial. Each one is personal.
Death Notices in Newspapers etc.
With families in different locations we will publish your loved one's death notice in your local newspaper and radio stations with details for funeral arrangements.
Grave Opening & Closing
We organise all aspects of this service to the opening and closing of graves both new and old ourselves down to the finishing touches after the burial.
Embalming Service
Embalming is an important part of the burial process that ensures your loved one arrives home looking like you remember them. We work with an embalming team with is curious and professional to your needs.
Range of Coffin Designs
We offer a wide range of solid oak coffins in different sizes shapes and designs including engraving such as the pieta and the last supper for that personal touch.
Repatriation
Having a loved one pass away abroad is difficult so we will take care of the process of bringing them home from collection and transportation.
Church Services
We support families no matter what background and organise everything down to flowers, funeral mass/service time, music and celebrants.
Music
We provide music for your funeral mass/service and also for the grave site also if you wish. We will guide you through the process with a qualified musician using their expertise to personal this for your loved one even down to a favourite song.

You don’t have to make an appointment at our funeral homes. However, doing so will ensure that someone can be available to cater to your needs. When arranging a funeral, our Funeral Directors are happy to visit you in your own home, if required.
Third party funeral costs are additional charges which we will manage for you and attach to your single invoice. Get in touch with us to confirm costs and plan a funeral to fit your budget.
If you choose to arrange the funeral with us, you will be given the option of a complimentary Funeral Notice. We will set it up for you using the details discussed during the arrangements. All we need is an email address.
Dignity Funeral Plans let you pay for your funeral in advance and at today’s price. It’s a way of taking control of the unexpected, setting out the arrangements and limiting the costs by paying for the services included in the funeral plan upfront.
